A man captured after a New Year’s Eve sex assault in San Francisco’s Chinatown had attacked a 99-year-old woman in her apartment at the Ping Yuen housing project, officials said Wednesday.

The suspect, identified by police as 26-year-old Teandre Howard-Kidd, was charged on Wednesday with sexual assault, residential burglary and elder abuse. He is scheduled for arraignment in San Francisco Superior Court on Thursday.

The attack happened around 12:35 p.m. at the storied public housing development on the 800 block of Pacific Avenue, police said.

San Francisco police officials on Tuesday circulated pictures from surveillance footage of the suspect, who was seen wearing a blue vest with black and white striped pants. Officers out of Tenderloin Station arrested him later that day.

Howard-Kidd is being held in San Francisco Jail on $275,000 bail.
